Decoration and Recreation Section

The Decoration and Recreation Section has 2 units which are the Event Management Unit and Decoration Services and the Facilities and Recreation Unit.

The Facilities and Recreation Unit oversees the 40-hectare campus residents' focus area, has 5 ponds for water recreation, also houses the Orchid Pavilion Building, the Angsana Stage and the Pearl House. There are 4 endowments with a relaxing family concept as well as various exercise facilities and children's playgrounds are also provided for the convenience of visitors.

The Orchid Pavilion building functions as a horticultural exhibition (exhibition site in conjunction with the agricultural expo and space rental for parties and especially weddings. The orchid Pavilion building is also a university entity that generates income.

Bukit Expo is divided into 5 zones, namely Budding Eye Zone, Expo Site Zone, Reperman Zone, Recreation Zone and Pearl Zone. The 200 species of plant group in the Expo Hill area consists of a collection of clones of durian, rambutan and rare fruits such as kundang (Bouea macrophylla) and binjai (Mangifera caesia) in the Budding Eye Zone, shade trees and decorations in the Expo Site Zone, a collection of various spice plants such as cinnamon trees (Cinnamomum iners), cloves (Syzygium aromatic) and black pepper (Piper nigrum) in the Rempahan Zone.

In the Pearl Zone there are decorative plants and fruit trees (Mangifera pajang) that come from Sabah and putat fruit trees (Barringtonia racemosa), while the Recreation Zone has a collection of various rare fruit trees such as butter fruit (Diospyros discolour), palace rambi (Lepisanthes alata), merttawa (Erioglossum rubiginosum) and bidara (Ziziphus mauritiana) and shade trees such as ru pantai (Casuarina equisitifolia) and mambu (Azadirachta indica).

The Event Management and Decoration Services Unit has 4 shade houses, 2 controlled environment houses (CES), 4 plots of ornamental plants without protection and more than 4,000 potted plants of various types. The Headhouse building, in addition to housing operational office space, also provides work space for the preparation of mixed soil and also for the purpose of student and practical classes.

OTHER SERVICES

This section provides area and decoration services. Recreational area facility services such as Padang area, Orchid Pavilion, and Pond. In addition, Water Sports activities can also be carried out by renting the Pool at Bukit Ekspo. The Decorative Nursery Service Unit provides Decorative Facilities for official university events. Rental rates for each service (and selling prices for other farm products) are as attached (if relevant).
