Serdang, 14 January 2020 - University Agriculture Park (TPU) has obtained cooperation from Plant Variety Protection, Department of Agriculture Malaysia to conduct inspection and characterization for bellfruit variety Thai King to be register in the National Crop Variety List.

Six (6) officials from the Department of Agriculture Malaysia were present to inspect and characterize the bellfruit variety Thai King at Division of Seedling Production and Hatchery, TPU. Among the activities carried out were measuring the height of the trees, characterizing of the leaves and branches and later documenting the inspection.

It is expected in the near future, TPU contribution will be available in the National Crop Variety List.
