SERDANG, 24 July Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has launched the People's Income Initiative Program Center (IPR-INTAN) with support from the Ministry of Economy. This launch was carried out by the Minister of Economy, Tuan Mohd Rafizi Ramli, and was supported by an allocation of RM31 million to build modern agricultural infrastructure.

Objectives and Participants:

This program aims to increase people's income through agricultural technology. It targets 40% of participants from university graduates and 60% from IPR and E-Kasih participants. The program provides agricultural technology-based training for 130 trainees for one to one and a half years, with a focus on the agricultural crop and aquaculture sectors.

This initiative will produce more agricultural entrepreneurs and increase the country's food production. This IPR INTAN program is in line with the UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025, which aims to make UPM a reference center for the development of tropical agriculture.

Conclusion: This IPR-INTAN@UPM center is expected to provide a platform for the development of agricultural entrepreneurs, improve agricultural technology, and contribute to the strengthening of the national economy through the agricultural sector.
