33rd International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition, Malaysia

ITEX is a prestigious international design and innovation exhibition held annualy, organized bu Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MIND) and C.I.S. ITEX also provides a platform and marketplace for the latest ideas and innovations at the global level.

ITEX 2022 received more than 500 entries from the corporate sector, international, universities, research institutions and so on involving more than 15 countries including Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand and many more. UPM attracts the attention of innovators from home and abroad, by showcasing the latest innovations and technologies in various professional fields including agriculture, engineering, social sciences and biotechnology.

 The Putra Agricultural Center (PPP) through the Agricultural Product Production and Marketing Division (BPPPP) has sent the Putra Pro-Cut and Putra Fast-Snap Innovations Improves Marcotting Propagation Technique, led by Md Rozaidi Md Yusof from The Budders group.

Putra Pro-Cut and Putra Fast-Snap Improves Marcotting Propagation Technique is an innovation that received a favorable response from ITEX visitors in the exhibition hall and contributed a gold medal to UPM.

This innovation was produced to facilitate the process of marcot breeding since it is a popular plant breeding method and recorded an increase in productivity of up to 400% and a 50% reduction in the work process at the same time the success of marcot breeding also increased to 91%.
