CROP DIVISION

 

INTRODUCTION

The Crop Division (BTA) is a large section covering almost half of the Putra Agriculture Center. The Crops Division has five (5) sections consisting of the Vegetable Section, Agrotechnology Section, Farm Crops Section, Industrial Crops Section and Fruits Section. This division is headed by a Division Head, assisted by five Agriculture Officers as Section Heads, while under it there are several areas or Units coordinated by the Assistant Agriculture Officer.

OBJECTIVE

The Crops Division is responsible for the crop management process to support the teaching and research activities of students and employees. Activities are carried out such as identifying crop types, planting areas, fertilization, maintenance, harvesting and post-harvesting by carrying out activities in line with the requirements of Malaysian Good Agricultural Practices (MyGAP)
