INTRODUCTION TO PUCHONG INTEGRATED FARM DIVISION

Known as Ladang Puchong;

*Opened in 1973 by the University of Malaya

*Submitted to Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1974

*13 KM from the main campus

*2 KM from Putrajaya and Cyberjaya

*Next to Air Hitam forest reserve

*12 staff in total.

WORKING STATION@ PUCHONG FARM DIVISION

This 163-hectare section is located in Lot 13854 Mukim Petaling, Puchong District. The components of the area are as follows:

a. Orchard of 25 hectares of fruit.

b. Pasture area of â€‹â€‹80 hectares for buffalo farming.

c. 30 freshwater fish ponds.

d. Genetic Bank of 5 hectares managed by Genetic Bank Unit, Crops Division.

e. In the area dedicated to the Faculty of Agriculture have been established land science research sites and modern fisheries hatceri.

f. An office building to house staff, a store to store tractors and farm equipment and PPP staff quarters and UPM Security Division control are also provided.

FUNCTIONS @ PUCHONG FARMING DIVISION

a. became a center for the collection of tropical fruit gemplasms for local and international learning and research

b. provide complete aquaculture training and research facilities for students and researchers

c. provide basic infrastructure for student entrepreneurship in the field of aquaculture, livestock and crops
